sperm count. Like women, men’s fertility can be affected by

The NIEHS study found that, if intercourse occurs up to two days
before or on the day of ovulation, the likelihood of pregnancy
is 36%. Having sex between four and six days before ovulation
lowers the statistical chance of getting pregnant to 10%. Sperm
cells can live up to five days, but it less likely that old
sperm will successfully fertilize the egg.
